Note Parameter GPT

You know… we live in the age of Ai

  • So why not use Ai to assist with all this note parameter stuff?

For those really looking to get a handle on things, I’ve put together a GPT that has some instructions on how to handle building the JSON object.

  • It can struggle every now and then
  • But by and large, it accomplishes building out the note parameters correctly.

How To Use

You can describe the column you’re trying to build, and it will give you a rough draft of the note parameters you could use for that setup.

The Real 21st Century Fun

GPTs have the ability to accept documents! (^_^)

  1. Download the documentation for your app
    • Settings > Information > App Documentation (all the way at the bottom)
    • image
  2. Upload in to the GPT
  3. Ask it for the note parameters for a specific column

Here’s one for a more complex column

An extremely easy way to get the setup required to duplicate a column. :muscle:

Known Limitations

  • It can struggle with the “Required” field for some reason.
    • If you have a formula, that will typically work
    • f you have the toggle selected, that seems to be missed

Hope it helps!

  • If you use it, let me know if you have any problems.
  • What does it get wrong, is it consistently missing something?
  • This feedback will help refine the instructions and make it better for all!

Did you know that it can make Excel files?

  • And that excel files support note parameters
  • And that you can import excel files into Google Sheets
  • And that when imported like this, the notes are automatically added to your Gsheet?

So the workflow is:

  1. Go to the GPT, ask it to generate an excel file for the table you want to build
    • Maybe adding in some specifics that you want
  2. Downloading the file and importing that into your Gsheet
  3. Adding that sheet to your app

Boom - new table.

So fast. :eyes:

  • It even got the ref column!
